The World Chariot Racing Federation (WCRF) is revitalizing and rebranding the harness racing industry with the application of new technologies, new sponsorship opportunities.
The WCRF has helped developed an equine therapy hospital and treatment center after a devastating barn fire at the South Florida Trotting Center in Lake Worth, Florida on March 15, 2016 that killed 12 of the 23 horses in the barn. Later, the veterinarians at the Reid & Associates Equine Hospital in Loxahatchee, FL euthanized five more of the horses despite the efforts of WCRF’s Sam Stathis to get a second opinion from other leading veterinarians.
Sam Stathis of Stathis Enterprises and the WCRF has spearheaded an equine trauma center at the South Florida Trotting Center (SFTC) to help four of the surviving horses from the fire and to help all horses of any disciplines that need extensive trauma and therapy help.
The trauma center already has heart monitors, laser therapy treatments, Thera plate unit, an Electro-Equiscope, equine scale, four individual nebulizer units, water purification unit and more at the facility. This funding project will assist in purchasing the latest equine therapy equipment on market with our main goal of purchasing a two-horse hyperbaric chamber at a cost of $1.5 million, an Artemis Laser ($75,000) plus other special equipment.
We have world renowned equine veterinarians and therapists who are donating their expertise and time to help us set up this world class trauma center.
This is where all of the money raised via this Crowd Funding effort will go, along with sending financial aid to any disastrous event concerning horses that happens around the world.
These funds will also benefit Horses Healing Hearts, a new charity that helps children raised with addiction in their homes by working with horses. They teach empowerment, life-coping skills, and help children to build self-confidence by learning about horse care and riding. This is a new group based out of Wellington, Florida that is expanding their program world-wide. http://horseshealingheartsusa.org
All monies donated will be distributed by Howard Taylor, Esq of Philadelphia, PA. Howard Taylor is a prominent major race horse owner, breeder and professional driver. He is also one of the leading attorneys in the Standardbred Industry and is doing all administration of this Crowd Funding project pro bono.
